Divine Threads has been in business since 1984.  The founder, Virginia Gray of Aurora, CO, began with a vision of developing colorfast rayon threads primarily for use in Brazilian, or dimensional embroidery.  From this beginning, she developed the rayon threads not only in solid colors, but overdyed colors as well.  From this, the overdyed silk ribbons were born.  She has also authored several books and numerous patterns.  Her most reckognized book is the Bosa Nova Rose which she co-authored with Mary Clark.   

 

I purchased the company Divine Threads in 2004.  I have been teaching Crazy Quilting, Quilting, Silk Ribbon Embroidery and Embellishments in the Central New York area at different shops and guilds for over 15 years.  I began carrying Divine Threads ribbons right after the first silk ribbon embroidery class I taught.   From the ribbons I quickly discovered the Delta thread and later the Beta and Zeta thread.  My students have always appreciated the luscious and subtle variations of the colors of the overdyed ribbons and threads as well as the colorfastness of all the products.

 

My vision for Divine Threads is to continue to provide exciting colorfast threads and ribbons that will be an inspiration to all your customers.  My hope is to develop interesting and exciting patterns and designs to bring in new techniques and thus new clients to your shop.  Be sure to check out the beaded scissor fobs that are perfect gift items for your customers.
