These are 100% silk ribbons.  They are colorfast and can be washed in the washing machine on the gentle cycle with the garment or item turned inside out.  Pressing is not recommended for the ribbon embroidery area.  However, if it is necessary, be sure to use a thick towel under the area to be pressed and press on the wrong side of the fabric.

Ribbons can be pressed before they are used in stitching if they have been creased in storage.  Use the silk setting on the iron and for deep creases, spritz lightly with water before pressing.
